Whether you work in design, management, or as an entrepreneur, if you want to learn how to operate in an economically effective, yet responsible way, this study program is the right choice for you.

Challenging seminars on business ethics, ecosystem research, material innovation, business psychology, and digital marketing are an integral part of the curriculum. Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries (M.A.) is an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented Master’s program, and focuses on three main areas: 

  • sustainable design strategies 
  • sustainable production 
  • sustainable business 

Within those areas, you will have the chance to tailor the study program to your interests, as you have the opportunity to choose different compulsory elective modules – all with a focus on sustainability. 

During your final semester, you will work mostly on your Master’s thesis.

During your first semester, you can choose one of three elective courses:  

  • Merchandising 
  • Fashion Product 
  • Fashion Brand 

Each module consists of a theoretical as well as practical part. No matter which course you choose, you will be working on a practical project – often tied to one of AMD’s many noteworthy cooperation partners. Furthermore, you will gain important theoretical knowledge about your chosen course, such as digital marketing or product development. During your second semester, you will be able to deepen your understanding of your elective module and continue working on your project.

Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries (M.A.) is a practice-orientated Master’s program. You will work on projects throughout your studies as well as learn handy tips and tricks from our lecturers – most of whom are well-versed industry professionals.

We explain what you need to start your Sustainable Fashion Master’s program at AMD and how the application process works.

In order to study Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries (M.A.) at AMD, you will need to fulfil a number of requirements: 

  • Holding a bachelor’s degree (min. 180 CP) in a relevant field 
  • English language skills at Level B2
